Feets leaving prints

having gone through the questions, I covered about 4.5 hectares.
Requiring that we need to create 2.5 planets in order for survival.

Better get digging, it's gonna take a lot of dirt.

*hands you shovel

My ecological footprint

Did the quiz, found out that I occupy 8.4 global hectares (compared w/the Canadian avg of 8.8) and need 4.7 planets to supply me.

I also tried it as me 20 years ago: sharing a house w/3 other people, no money to fly anywhere, eating more starch & less meat (because broke, not because ethical). Then, I was apparently consuming 6.3 planets. Huh???

Guess I can ditch the middle class guilt :D

Green Awareness Campaign

the key to all of our success will be the awareness that we spread to students/faculty and the surrounding community. So We should build an identity and awareness campaign that our entire class can utilize in order to give some recognition and identity to our efforts.
Rather than be spread out into seperate little initiatives, make it part of a bigger picture.
We have classmates from every aspect of design in this school, lets use that range of abilities.
Power in numbers.

Build Think Tank Green Initiative Identity !

One big idea----Recycling waste

To improve OCAD‘s green grade, it needs specific policies put in place to integrate recycling and waste reduction into all aspects of the college to encourage progress in this area. There is a need to further educate the campus community on the impacts and disposal implications of hazardous materials. My idea is recycling print cartridge. As OCAD hasn't make a lot of concern about recycling print cartridge, I think this would be a good idea to help OCAD to improve the grade, more importantly is reduce the waste and get reusable materials recycling in order to improve the environment. The idea is try to get all the people in OCAD recycling their empty print cartridge, especially the printing shop in school, all the faculties, offices, and students are encouraged as well. They can send their empty print cartridges to the manufacturer; most of the manufacturers encourage people to do that. Or may be we can put a box at a particular location for collecting the print cartridge, and then we can send them together. That might be more convenient and helpful.

What I Can Do For OCAD's Exterior

1 area I can personally do something in to fix OCAD's exterior problems is in the greenery. I could help organize some kind of fundraiser to help raise money to improve our exterior greenery as a small budget is one reason for the lack of greenery at OCAD.
